What the app reads
Once installed, Kargo accesses only the Shopify data required to manage transfers between locations: products and variants, inventory levels, locations and Shopify transfers.
This data is used to display available items, identify the relevant stores or locations, and enable the creation, tracking and receipt of transfers from Shopify POS.
Kargo does not need access to customer orders, payments, refunds, revenue or sales reports to provide these features.
What is stored, and where
The business data used by Kargo remains tied to your Shopify environment. Kargo is not designed to build a standalone copy of your catalogue, inventory or transfers for commercial or analytics purposes.
Technical information strictly required to operate the app may be retained for as long as necessary to provide the service, ensure security and manage the subscription.
What our servers retain
Kargo does not operate a database containing your customer orders, payments or revenue.
The server required to run the app processes the technical information needed to authenticate your Shopify store, operate the app and verify your subscription plan.
Like any online service, our hosting provider may retain technical logs for a limited period for operation, security and troubleshooting.
Your customers’ personal data
Kargo does not need access to your customers’ personal data to manage transfers.
The app is designed to operate using Shopify product, inventory, location and transfer data.
Processors and service providers
None of these providers is used by Kargo to build a database of your customers, orders or sales.
Requests sent by Shopify
Kargo supports the privacy mechanisms required by Shopify, including shop data deletion requests and other mandatory requests that apply to Shopify apps.
Because Kargo does not need access to customer personal data to operate, the app does not build an independent customer database.
Your rights
Under applicable data protection law, you may exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and, where applicable, data portability.
For any request: hello@kargo-app.shop. We respond within the time limits required by law. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
Security
Kargo implements technical measures intended to protect the communications required to operate the app. Communications with the service use secure HTTPS connections.
kargo-app.shop and cookies
The public website kargo-app.shop is hosted by OVH SAS. Like any web host, OVH may process technical data needed to provide, secure and troubleshoot the service, including technical logs.
In its current version, the website does not use marketing cookies or advertising trackers. Contact links open your email client and do not submit a form to a third-party service.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page. Material changes to how data is processed may also be communicated in the app.
